I am so excited to share this maternity session with you! I have taken this couples engagement photos, wedding photos, 1st maternity photos, 1st baby new born, 1st babies cake smash, and now their 2nd maternity photos. Needless to say i have been able to watch this gorgeous family as they grow and it is simply amazing! This right here is why I choose photography as my career, feelings you can;t get from any other job! Take a look at the maternity magic that happen!

I love doing 1st birthday cake smashes! They are so much fun for so many reasons. My favorite is the mix of emotions that seem to happen; excited, happy, scared, crying, interested, excited again, and a bunch of love! This session was extra special because big sister Mia got to join in on the fun, I mean what else are big sisters for other than to lend a helping hand!

We kicked off Spring 2017 wedding season with a bang! The groom and I were friends back in collage, and as we talked about it at the wedding realized we had all graduated 10 years ago… what!! Needless to say we felt old and realized we hadn’t had the chance to catch up, so why not have a wedding?! I quickly realized I knew most of the wedding party as well as other guest. It also had been 10 years since I had seen them as well. Matt is a fun, outgoing, goofy, and extremely kind hearted man. He is always the person to make you laugh, keep your friendship current, and just all over great person. Then, meet his now wife, Bessie! My goodness, she is a goddess I swear. She not only puts up with his all over personality she keeps up with him. She one ups him, she puts him in his place, and she definitely captured his heart. This was crystal clear to EVERYONE during their wedding ceremony. Take a look….

Happy 2 year anniversary to this stunning couple! Blogger babe Brie Bemis Rearick came to me with the idea of her and Colton getting dressed up in a suit + stunning sequin gown for this years anniversary photos. To say my mouth hit the floor was an understatement! She was pondering on locations and ideas to make the session feel unique and a little Christmas-y without going too overboard since their outfits already said enough. Here is what we came up with, take a look!

October 2nd, the Sunday it rained and rained and rained here in Phoenix! It was also the same Sunday I had 5 mini sessions all day long. You can imagine the feeling in my stomach as I was driving at 7:30am watching the storm literally take over the Valley of The Sun. I couldn’t believe it, what was I going to do? There was no time to reschedule so I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. It will work out I kept saying all day long. 

And thankfully it did! I got the chance to meet some amazing new faces including this beautiful family below. They were absolutely amazing! Mom stepped out of the car in this long pleated cream maxi dress, dad looked sharp in his button, and of course my favorite part was the little one in her dress + hair bow. The rain let up for almost the exact session length. As soon as we finished saying to one another, is there any other pose or shot that you wanted that we haven’t already captured yet? Nope we are good….then big droplets started landing on our heads! A mad rush back to the cars through the trees just in time for a quick hug goodbye. 

The stormy weather allows for the green trees and blue water to really come to life! The Salt River is always a favorite of mine, and this session shows why!
